About the Role

  • This is a key role in delivering exceptional cybersecurity services to our valued customers. As a Senior Cybersecurity Operations Analyst, you will lead efforts in Vulnerability Management, Cybersecurity Risk Management, and/or Code Risk Prevention by identifying, assessing, prioritising, and communicating risks to key customer stakeholders.

Leading Vulnerability Management efforts across endpoints, applications, and infrastructure generates reports, assesses, and prioritises vulnerabilities, and assigns remediation tasks to business stakeholders. Capture and manage cybersecurity risks and exemptions. Collaborate with both internal and external teams to deliver resolutions within service level agreements (SLAs).

What You'll Be Doing:

  • End-to-end Vulnerability Management of endpoint, application, and infrastructure threats. Generate comprehensive reports, identify high-risk areas, and assign task forces for effective remediation.
  • Affordable assessment, prioritisation, and monitoring of security incidents for enterprise clients. Work closely with multiple stakeholders to meet resolution requirements while staying within defined SLA boundaries.
  • Proactively conducting risk assessments on critical (zero-day) vulnerabilities.
  • Oversight of security hardening activities and Cloud Security Posture Management.
  • Implementing roadmap initiatives and enhancing existing services through process development, integration, and innovation.
  • Conduct proactive threat hunting using advanced query languages such as Kusto Query Language (KQL), Dashboards Query Language (DQL) and/or CrowdStrike Query Language (CQL) to pinpoint potential security risks.
  • Maintain and optimize scripts to automate routine security operations tasks like log analysis, threat detection, and incident response.
  • Pursue process enhancements and automation opportunities to streamline efficiency and effectiveness in security operations.

What You'll Bring:

  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools, SIEM, EDR, or related security technologies.
  • A proven track record engaging with customers to communicate complex technical issues clearly to various stakeholders at all levels, demonstrating a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.
  • Document proficiency: Exceptional writing and review abilities for creating high-quality reports and workflows.
  • Cybersecurity and operational frameworks: Proficient understanding of threat management protocols, incident response best practices, and cybersecurity principles along with relevant industry standards, showcasing capability to implement these in real-world scenarios.
  • Continuous learning: Passion for keeping pace with evolving threats and driving security innovation to deliver value and excellence to customers.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications from reputable professional bodies that showcase expertise in cybersecurity (such as ISACA, ISC2, GIAC, or CompTIA) will be beneficial. A degree or tertiary qualification will also be advantageous.

Experience:

  • We seek candidates with at least three years of experience in cybersecurity roles, or backgrounds in software development or related technical fields.
