Job Description

The Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence Analyst role is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about cybersecurity and threat intelligence.

This position involves monitoring threat landscapes, conducting in-depth research, and providing actionable insights to enhance our security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Threat Monitoring: Continuously monitor cybersecurity threat feeds, forums, and open-source intelligence (OSINT) to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse threat data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies that could pose a risk to an organisation's security infrastructure.
  • Report Generation: Prepare and present detailed reports on emerging threats, attack vectors, and vulnerabilities to the team, providing recommendations on mitigation strategies.
  • Incident Response Support: Collaborate with the incident response team to investigate potential incidents, including gathering relevant intelligence on attackers and their techniques.

Requirements:

  • Cybersecurity Knowledge: Solid understanding of cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors (e.g., phishing, ransomware, APTs).
  • Frameworks and Standards: Familiarity with common cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, NZISM, ISO 27001).
  • Cyber-attack Methodologies: Knowledge of security tools and technologies such as firewalls, EDR, SIEMs, and threat intelligence platforms.
