About The Role

This high-impact finance role supports the development of a major infrastructure delivery plan. You'll work closely with senior leadership and engineers providing financial modelling, investment analysis, and pricing optimisation to guide infrastructure decisions. This six-month contract offers flexibility, with remote work an option, and the chance to influence key investment strategies in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-level financial modelling and investment analysis for infrastructure projects.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to the CEO, CFO, engineers, and local government leaders.
  • Analyse cost structures, funding options, and balance sheet management strategies.
  • Support the integration of financial and engineering perspectives for optimal spending decisions.
  • Contribute to discussions on potential regional collaboration for service delivery.

Requirements

  • Strong financial and investment analysis experience, ideally within infrastructure or asset-heavy industries.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex financial insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial modelling tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills are a must.
  • Understanding of balance sheet management and long-term capital planning.
  • Comfortable working independently.
  • Ideally a fully qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA).

What's On Offer

  • An initial six-month contract that can be based in Northland or totally remote.
  • Hourly rate will be c.$50-60 per hour GST.
  • Potential for this role to become a long-term permanent appointment.
