The successful candidate will have a strong background in caregiving and be able to provide high-quality support to our residents under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with residents and their families.

About the Job:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal support to residents while promoting independence.
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner and respond promptly to resident requests.
  • Maintain and update resident healthcare records.
  • Assist with handover of residents at shift changes.

Requirements:

  • New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 3 (or equivalent) and 3 years of relevant experience; OR New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 (or equivalent).
  • Dementia and hospital-level care experience required.
  • Flexibility to work on a rostered shift basis.
  • Strong people skills with empathy for the elderly and their families.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
