About the Job

We have an opportunity for a Community Child Health Nurse to join our Extended Care team in Taupo. This role will work to address ongoing inequities in health and well-being for tamariki and whanau, ensuring wellbeing needs are met across our communities.

The successful candidate will provide an outreach immunisation service to tamariki and whanau, while also providing a comprehensive child and whanau health service. At times, you may see a child or whanau, providing immunisations and educating on other health conditions and/or determinants of health, addressing current health needs, and engaging whanau with General Practice and other health and social service providers as needed.

  • You will need a minimum of 5 years' experience post registration.
  • A current annual practicing certificate and authorised vaccinator status are essential.
  • Registration as a Nurse Prescriber in Community Health would be beneficial.
  • A full driver's license is required.

This role works alongside iwi, general practice, community health providers, and Te Whatu Ora teams to provide quality evidence-based nursing care.
