Community Mental Health Specialist

About the Role
In this position, you will provide assessment and treatment for individuals with acute or enduring mental illness in the community. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with clinicians who visit weekly or fortnightly to provide occupational therapy, clinical psychology, and Kaitakawaenga services.
Key Responsibilities
* Organize and prioritize a caseload, ensuring timely documentation and clear communication with the multidisciplinary team and community partners.
* Demonstrate a strong advocacy approach, prioritizing best practice and working in partnership with tangata whai ora and their whanau.
* Be a Duly Authorized Officer (DAO) or have an interest in becoming one.

Our team consists of 42 clinicians passionate about delivering exceptional community mental health services. Our foundation is built on a family-first culture, prioritizing the well-being of our staff and the communities we serve. We deliver a range of specialty services across the district, working collaboratively to create kotahitanga and promote recovery-focused practices.
