About the Role

As a Property Specialist at Powerco, you will play a crucial role in securing and managing property rights and approvals necessary for our infrastructure projects. You will be working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure our network projects move forward smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Secure property rights and approvals to support Powerco's infrastructure projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, councils, iwi/hapu, and other interest groups.
  • Provide property and consenting advice to the business, including regulatory and industry requirements.
  • Contribute to the Property & Consents team's strategic goals and continuous improvement of processes.
  • Support a positive and inclusive team culture that aligns with Powerco's values.

Ideal Experience and Skills:

  • Relevant background or qualification in property or valuation.
  • Experience in property negotiation and acquisition, portfolio management, and some knowledge of other approvals such as Kiwirail Deeds of Grant and resource consents.
  • Knowledge of utilities industry and regulatory requirements related to property and consenting (desirable).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills to manage a varied workload.
