About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our multi-disciplinary team in Queenstown Lakes District. This is a permanent opportunity for a dedicated professional who can provide high-quality psychiatric care and contribute to ongoing service improvement.
Your Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat patients with mental health issues, working collaboratively with the primary health sector.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of treatment plans, ensuring they meet the needs of patients and their families.
- Promote a culture of recovery-focused care, prioritizing patient-centered approaches.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve service delivery, identifying areas for innovation and best practice.
- Participate in regular meetings with base hospitals through video conferencing, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Take on a leading role in maintaining and enhancing our Mental Health service, driving excellence in patient care.
- Contribute to ongoing service improvement and workforce innovation, leveraging your expertise to drive positive change.

Salary Range:
This role falls within the ASMS Collective Agreement, with a salary range between Step 1 ($185,380) and Step 15 ($267,980 per annum pro rata). The actual salary will depend on your experience and qualifications.
