About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team as a Senior Psychiatric Medical Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with mental health conditions, while also providing clinical leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat patients with mental health conditions
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary teams
  • Contribute to service improvement and innovation initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with primary health sector stakeholders

Requirements

  • Fellowship with the RANZCP or equivalent
  • Eligibility for registration with the NZ Medical Council
  • A strong commitment to biculturalism and service user inclusion
  • Demonstrated ability to provide training and education to students

Salary and Benefits

This role falls within the ASMS Collective Agreement and comes with a competitive salary range between Step 1 ($185,380) and Step 15 ($267,980 per annum pro rata).
