This position is for an experienced Registered Nurse with comprehensive or psychiatric endorsement, passionate about working in mental health and making a difference in the lives of older persons.

The successful candidate will work directly with clients, whanau, NGO service providers, Primary Health sector, and Aged Residential Care facilities as part of an Inter-Disciplinary team.

About the Role:

  • Manage intake and acute situations at the referral centre
  • Work autonomously in the community and cohesively within the Inter-Disciplinary Team
  • Develop individual management plans promoting client-centred goals
  • Assess clients' needs and provide exceptional care

About You:

  • A confident practitioner with strong assessment skills and interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and perform dynamic risk assessments in crisis situations
  • A valid New Zealand driver's license and current NZ practicing certificate
