Clinical Psychologist for Youth Justice Services

**Specialist Service**
Tu Maia Regional Youth Forensics provides specialist assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services for young people involved in the youth justice system. Our service is dedicated to supporting the holistic well-being and rehabilitation of at-risk youth through evidence-based interventions and comprehensive mental health care.
We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child and adolescent development, experience in conducting assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The role involves:
- Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, including risk assessments for self-harm, harm to others, and vulnerability
- Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy and behavioural strategies
- Preparing forensic reports, clearly communicating complex psychological concepts to legal professionals
- Building strong therapeutic relationships with young people, taking into account their developmental stage, cultural background, and individual experiences
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- You will be a Registered Clinical Psychologist with a minimum of 2 years' experience in child and adolescent mental health service
- You will have a strong understanding of child and adolescent development
- You will be experienced in conducting assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions
- You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
