Job Description:

The role involves managing and maintaining network security operations to ensure the protection of our clients' critical infrastructure. As a Network Security Engineer, you will work closely with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to provide operational support, implement new network security solutions, and drive continuous improvement.

You will:

  • Provide operational support for managed network security solutions, including SD-WAN, Managed Firewall, and SASE architecture-based products.
  • Monitor and analyse network traffic to detect and respond to security incidents.
  • Investigate and resolve complex network and security issues.
  • Assist customers in embedding security into their solutions and processes.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Handle service requests and incidents with excellence, following DEFEND processes.
  • Support other team members in their delivery to customers.
Requirements:

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Prior experience in network security operations.
  • Sound knowledge of network security protocols, technologies, and best practices.
  • Solid communication skills and the ability to write and review designs, reports, procedures, and standards.
  • Familiar with network and security tools and technologies, such as Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, SD-WAN, SASE, products from Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret network traffic and security logs.
  • Excellent problem-solving and trouble shooting skills.
  • Strong documentation skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Desire to expand skills and knowledge.
Desirable Skills:

We welcome applications from candidates with the following skills:

  • Experience in securing hybrid cloud environments (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS).
  • Experience working with both AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with the cybersecurity ecosystems approaches of Palo Alto Networks and Microsoft.
  • Relevant certifications in Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet technologies such as PCNSE, NSE, and other network and security related certifications such as Microsoft, CCIE, CISM, CISSP, CEH, SANS.
