Job Description

Auckland Council's Capability team is seeking a highly skilled professional to join their team as a Competency/Technical Assessor.

This role involves providing leadership in the development of staff through performing competency assessments, technical audits, and staff training.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in building-related regulatory services, good process orientation, and computer literacy skills.

Main Responsibilities

- Collaborate with teams across the region to implement high-quality staff training in building consents technical functions

- Participate in the delivery of training to enable effective and consistent processing, inspection, and certification

- Ensure all staff performing technical roles hold the Regulation 18 qualification

Requirements

- High level of training and communication skills, including presentation and facilitation skills

- Experienced in coaching, mentoring, and training staff within building consents technical functions

- Highly developed analytical skills and the ability to evaluate competency assessment evidence to prescribed levels
