The Regional District of Central Kootenay is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Building Administrative Support. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to building officials, assist with permit applications and issuance processes, and communicate effectively with property owners, contractors, and other stakeholders.

  • Thorough knowledge and expert ability in advanced Microsoft Office software required.
  • Self-directed and task-oriented with a demonstrated ability to resource solutions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Required qualifications and experience include:

  • High school graduation supplemented with related business college or office administration courses or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of three years related work experience, preferably in a local government office administration environment.
  • Ability to learn and become proficient in new computer programs.

This is a full-time benefited position working 35 hours per week. The normal hourly rate for this position is $29.01, varying between $27.75 to $31.54 depending on experience.
