About the RoleWe are seeking a highly qualified Materials Engineer/Metallurgist to join our team in Mt Wellington, Auckland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting materials testing and inspections with precision, ensuring that all results meet client requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective testing strategies to meet the needs of our clients.
- Conduct routine and non-routine destructive testing on various products and components across metals and plastics in heavy to light constructions and building industries.
As a Metallurgist, you will play a key role in providing expert consultancy services to our clients, addressing their technical challenges and providing solutions that meet their needs.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy or a related field.
- Minimum of five years' experience in materials/mechanical engineering.
- Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skill sets in testing, machining, maintenance and/or troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel to customer sites around NZ.
