About The Role

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in Queenstown. In this role, you will oversee and support various project operations, ensuring successful execution in line with contract requirements. You will collaborate closely with supervisors, project managers, and key stakeholders to optimise utilisation, uphold high quality standards, and achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned contracts to ensure performance meets quality and deadline requirements.
  • Lead by example, driving operational excellence through Zero Harm initiatives.
  • Identify and manage contractual obligations, recording and resolving variations effectively.
  • Collaborate with estimators to prepare accurate estimates and tender submissions.
  • Ensure project documentation aligns with contract requirements regarding margins, quality, and time frames.
  • Assist in preparing monthly progress claims, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.

Necessary Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, project management capabilities, and strong interpersonal skills. They will also have a tertiary qualification or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field, experience working with NEC3/4 and/or 3910/3916 contracts, and understanding of transport and infrastructure construction projects.
