A challenging yet rewarding role awaits a skilled Registered Nurse to support individuals with complex needs at Toro Mai a Ringa. As part of our team, you will work closely with whaiora to develop personalized plans and provide ongoing support.
With experience in mental health nursing preferred, you will be expected to utilise your skills and knowledge to ensure the highest quality care is provided. Additionally, having a client-centred, recovery-focused approach is essential.
You will be working within a diverse team, blending professional expertise and lived experience to offer a range of services and supports. Ember Korowai Takitini prioritises supporting people to live the lives they choose, while also challenging systems that hold them back.
The Service | Ko Te Whare O Toro Mai a RingaToro Mai a Ringa is a partnership with Lakes DHB under the Te Ara Tauwhirotanga model of care. This service provides support for people who have complex needs beyond the normal capability of residential mental health providers.
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the service meets the unique needs of each whaiora. You will work directly with Kaimahi, Seniors, and Team Manager to achieve this goal.
Role | Nga mahi- Provide high-quality care and support to whaiora in accordance with their individualised plans.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Coordinate key working allocated whaiora entries, pathways, reviews with external partners, and exits.
- Be registered and have a current practicing certificate in nursing.
- Have experience in mental health nursing, preferably.
- Hold a valid/current work visa, residency, or citizenship.
- Have a client-centred, recovery-focused approach.
- Have knowledge of mental health rehabilitation approaches and experience working with co-occurring addictions and/or cognitive difficulties.
