Clinical Paediatrician Opportunity in New Zealand

Kiwi Health Jobs is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Paediatrician to join our team at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora. This exciting opportunity allows you to make a positive impact on the lives of patients and families while working in a collaborative environment.
In this role, you will provide comprehensive general paediatric inpatient and outpatient care, as well as support a level two Neonatal service with up to 1,600 deliveries per annum. You will also have the potential to focus on outpatient care only or participate in outreach/rural outpatient clinics in Gore and Queenstown.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding team player with excellent communication skills, who believes in actively including family/whānau as a standard part of their practice. They must be FRACP qualified (or equivalent) and hold, or be eligible for, vocational registration with Medical Council of NZ.

About the Benefits
This role comes with a competitive salary range of $185,380 to $267,980 per annum pro rata, according to the ASMS Collective Agreement. You will be exposed to a wide and varied pathology and supported by strong links with tertiary providers throughout New Zealand. Our team is actively involved in teaching, and we are affiliated with the Dunedin School of Medicine, actively supporting 5th and 6th year medical students, and acting in Senior Lecturer roles with the School of Medicine.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth;
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
