- This is a permanent position based at Te Toka Tumai Auckland.
The successful candidate will have the responsibility of providing clinical leadership and support to patients and their whānau during the patients Oncology treatment. This involves working collaboratively with Radiation and Medical Oncology multidisciplinary teams to provide care to patients based at Te Toka Tumai, Auckland, regionally at our local delivery sites and into community settings as the service expands.
Key responsibilities include providing professional and clinical leadership to support nursing teams, prioritising workload and working as part of a supportive senior nursing team so that excellent clinical care can flourish.
Qualifications and Experience- A commitment to biculturalism
- A commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori
- Minimum Level 3 preferably Level 4 practice chemotherapy certified RN with a strong oncology nursing background
- Expert clinical knowledge and leadership skills
- Post graduate qualifications, preferably to master's level with a focus on NP or prescribing pathways
- Innovative mindset and able to network with different stakeholders
- An ability to work effectively and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Competence in the use of IT systems, e.g. Microsoft Excel and various local databases
- Ability to travel to regional sites
