Job Description
We are seeking an Auckland Recreation Manager to join our team at the Department of Conservation. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the maintenance and upkeep of our recreational sites across Auckland, including historical pa sites, tracks, and amenity areas. Your work will focus on ensuring our conservation sites are safe and accessible for visitors and that our heritage sites are preserved for future generations.
Your Key Responsibilities
You will undertake tasks for the heritage and visitor programmes, including carrying out repairs and maintenance of tracks in both front and back country locations. You will also contribute to the successful delivery of projects, work with volunteers and community groups, and participate in safety briefings to ensure your own safety and the safety of your teammates.
