Job Description
This role involves working alongside our centre whanau to facilitate child-led play, guiding activities, and mentoring parents/whanau/members/tamariki as they explore and learn with their children during these special years.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitating learning for members and tamariki while role modelling child-led play and positive guidance.
  • Supporting whanau in the use of Te Reo Maori and encouraging participation in the Playcentre Education programme.
  • Demonstrating the benefits of participating to whanau.
  • Mentoring and supporting parents/whanau/members/tamariki as they explore and learn with their children.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will hold a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher or an Early Childhood qualification of Level 4 or higher. You will also hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to achieve this. Additionally, desirable skills and experience include knowledge and understanding of Te Whariki, a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to use technology.
