We are seeking an expert in data management to join our team as a Practice Lead - Data Management. In this role, you will be responsible for leading projects and work items aimed at improving our data management culture, skills, and systems.

About the Job

This is a permanent position based in Christchurch or Wellington. As Practice Lead, you will work closely with our Unit Manager Data and Information Management and other teams across our organization to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective data management strategies and plans
  • Lead and manage projects and work items related to data management
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and prioritize areas for improvement

You will need to have a strong ability to work collaboratively with people across our organization, including executive leaders, managers, technical specialists, and front-line staff.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • High level experience with metadata management and customer discovery tools
  • A strong understanding of data governance frameworks and tools
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
