About Us

Nz Playcentre Federation is a well-established Early Childhood organisation with over 80 years of experience supporting parents to take the lead in their children's learning through play.

We operate 400 Playcentres throughout the country and have just over 700 staff members who are employed in various roles. We're looking for a skilled Payroll superstar with expertise in ensuring our payroll is processed accurately and in a timely manner.

Job Description

  • Process new hires, terminations, and variations to agreements.
  • Ensure schedules are maintained and annual leave, LWOP, etc., are recorded accurately.
  • Provide guidance and advice to staff.
  • Monitor time logs and approvals within the correct pay cycle.
  • Process payroll changes and system upgrades.

Requirements

  • Confidence and experience in problem-solving and working independently.
  • Proven numerical and data entry skills, with a high standard of computer literacy.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to collaborate and support teammates.
  • A positive, friendly, and helpful nature.
  • A willingness to go the extra mile to resolve complex payroll queries.

About You

This role will suit someone with experience in Payroll processing and administration, including a strong working knowledge of New Zealand Payroll related legislation.
