It's a meaningful place to work and our teams share a passion for being people-centric in all that we do.Mo te turanga - About the roleOur payroll team is a small team of two so we are looking for someone to work closely with our Senior Payroll Advisor to manage our fortnightly payroll, deal with pay queries and deliver timely, accurate and efficient pay processing.We work under both collective and individual employment terms across our organisation and as such there is an opportunity to gain working experience within a complex unionised multi-site environment.
This can be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and could be just what you are looking for to grow your payroll experienceTypical Tasks include:Provide end to end processing support of PSC's payroll functionWorking with the Senior Payroll Advisor, prepare and complete the fortnightly payroll using DatacomManagement of the on-boarding and off-boarding process, liaising with HR, Managers and employees as appropriateWork collaboratively as a member of the wider finance teamPrepare fortnightly payroll reporting and deal with ad hoc pay queries as they ariseIf you join PSC you will have the opportunity to work with a great range of people from your small team, to the wider Central Office to our Managers - no two days will be the sameYou may have a passion for working in a not-for-profit environment, where we all share a desire to make a difference when we come to work.Apply if you:Have two years payroll experience, preferably with DatacomHave experience supporting and processing a large payroll with complex terms and conditionsAre able to understand the complexities of rostered hours and how the Holidays Act appliesEnjoy working with others in a way that is supportive and builds understanding of legislation affecting pay processingCan meet deadlines and work well in a fast-paced environmentCan demonstrate sound communication skills both written and verbalWhat's in it for me?At PSC, we like to think we are a friendly team, who enjoy working together to make a difference every day we come to work.
