The Waiariki Mana Ake Programme aims to provide early intervention health and wellbeing guidance, support, and service within primary and intermediate schools. This role presents a phenomenal opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of children and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-informed individual, group, and whole-class wellbeing programmes/interventions for children in primary and intermediate schools in the Lakes area.
  • Form part of a culturally responsive workforce focused on building whakawhanaungatanga and relationships with tamariki and whanau.
  • Provide professional leadership and support to staff, creating an environment where clinical skills and high standards of care are developed and maintained.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions, including an understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  • Phenomenal relationship and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • An experienced Health professional with current registration.
  • Well-experienced in working with community, children, and whanau.
  • Adaptable and able to pivot within a rapidly changing environment.
