About the Role:

We are seeking Registered Nurses with mental health experience to join our Specialist Mental Health Services team. As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will provide cover across inpatient services, including acute adult admitting units, high/complex needs services, intellectual disabilities, forensics, specialty services, Mothers and Babies, Eating Disorders, Alcohol and Drug, and child and youth services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working autonomously and as part of a cohesive Multi-Disciplinary Team
  • Providing cover across various inpatient services
  • Developing therapeutic relationships with consumers and their families/whānau
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve personal goals and aspirations

Requirements:

  • Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC
  • Mental health scope of practice
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Confident and resilient
  • Strong focus on relationship-building
  • Knowledge of and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
