Salary: This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $37.44 - $40.50 per hour (2025).
Job Description: As a Building Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with the Ontario Building Code and applicable laws. Your responsibilities will include inspecting construction sites, reviewing building applications and plans, issuing permits, and enforcing regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications: To succeed in this position, you must possess a post-secondary diploma in Engineering Technologist, Architectural Technology, Building Inspection or a related field. Certification in General Legal/Process, Small Buildings, Plumbing – All Buildings, Building Services, and Building Structural categories is preferred. You should have at least 3 years of progressive experience in a municipal environment or construction/trades industry.
