About The Role


You'll take ownership of maintaining the grounds of a high-profile retirement village, ensuring the gardens remain beautiful and inviting for residents and staff alike.



Key Responsibilities:



  1. Maintain gardens to meet client specifications through designing, creating, and pruning.
  2. Source plants and materials, following garden plans, and plant according to best practices.
  3. Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned sites within the contract.
  4. Communicate regularly with the Operations Manager and/or client, addressing any garden or planting issues promptly.
  5. Ensure a strong focus on safety, compliance, and quality in all tasks.


About You


You are an experienced horticulturist who delivers top-quality results. To excel in this role, you'll need:



Required Skills and Qualifications:



  1. A Level 4 National Certificate in Horticulture and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  2. A full driver's licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle.
  3. Strong knowledge of plant species and their maintenance requirements.
  4. The ability to follow and implement detailed garden plans accurately.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with residents if needed.
  6. A proactive attitude and dedication to achieving high standards in every task.
