**About the Role**
Auckland Council's Great Barrier Island Service Centre is seeking an experienced administrative professional to join our dedicated team. This dynamic role offers a unique opportunity to support the delivery of operational excellence to the Aotea / Great Barrier Island community.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supporting the delivery of services across Great Barrier Island, including building control, library services, waste solutions, cemetery services, and community facilities.
- Actively participating in the management of community facilities, ensuring a smooth and responsive service.
- Handling diverse and shifting service demands, adapting to the unique needs of the island community.
- Engaging with customers on the ground, delivering excellent customer service and building strong relationships.
- Encouraging and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
About You:
- Experience in similar support or customer-facing roles, with a sound understanding of operational delivery in a varied and sometimes high-demand environment.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities.
- A positive and can-do attitude, willing to go the extra mile to ensure service excellence.
- Excellent relationship-building and collaboration skills to work effectively with both internal teams and the community.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
