Job Overview
This role provides hands-on support to the Director Northern South Island Region (NSI) in a fast-paced environment through email/diary management, meeting organisation, minute taking, workflow coordination, travel coordination and other administrative tasks.
You will be crucial in supporting the Director and the wider teams to achieve core deliverables for the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage schedules, calendars, and tasks effectively.
- Manage the shifting priorities of the Director and be prepared to pivot if things don't go as planned.
- Juggle multiple tasks and shifting priorities with strong time management skills.
- Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Requirements
We're after someone who's proactive, relationship-focussed, and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. If you have some of the following, we are keen to hear from you:
- A solid understanding of central government and public service environments.
- Familiarity with te ao Maori and a commitment to upholding Treaty partnerships.

The salary range for this position is $68,535 to $86,423 with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.
Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory – this includes holding a valid work visa that covers the whole period of employment.
