Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Section Management: Manage a specific section of the kitchen, such as sauces, grill, pastry, or starters, ensuring all items are prepared and served on time.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation. Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and food safety standards.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring inventory levels and requisitioning supplies as needed. Minimise waste and ensure proper storage of food items.
  • Training and Development: Mentor and train junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and safety procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the culinary team to coordinate menu planning, special events, and catering functions.

Qualifications:

  • Culinary Skills: Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent role, with a strong foundation in cooking techniques and food preparation.
  • Creativity: Ability to develop and execute innovative and visually appealing dishes while maintaining taste and quality standards.
  • Time Management: Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Team Player: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new cooking methods, recipes, and kitchen procedures.
