About the Role

This exciting opportunity involves working within our Intellectual Disability Service (IDS), which comprises three key areas: Ward 10a – a 12-bed inpatient service, Helensburgh Cottage – a 4-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, and the Community Liaison Team. As a Mental Health Care Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing support to our nurses and other healthcare team members
  • Patient movement and transportation
  • Delivering patient care, as required
  • Stock management and reconciliation
  • Maintaining a clean and safe ward environment
  • Supervising patients, with one-on-one care when necessary
