**About the Role**: Waitemata District Health Board seeks a skilled Radiation Oncologist to join our multidisciplinary team at Waikato Hospital. As a Consultant Radiation Oncologist, you will have the opportunity to contribute to patient care, research, and education in a progressive environment focused on delivering state-of-the-art radiation treatments.
**Job Description**: We utilize cutting-edge technology such as TrueBeam, HyperArc, and Halcyon for radiation procedures. Our department operates on the Eclipse planning system and boasts four linear accelerators capable of delivering rotational IMRT and cone beam CT image guidance. You will work alongside eight medical oncologists, nine haematologists, ten radiation oncologists, and five palliative care physicians, serving a regional population of approximately 750,000 people.
**Key Responsibilities**: Deliver high-quality radiation therapy services, participate in clinical trials and research projects, and contribute to the development of our Radiation Oncology services. You will be expected to uphold Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and apply Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches in healthcare settings.
**Requirements**: Qualifications that would satisfy the requirements for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, and a driver's license. Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
