About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Oji Fibre Solutions' Kinleith Mill in Tokoroa. As a key member of our Reliability Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for increasing mill reliability performance through improved reliability maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scope, provide guidance, and oversee mechanical reliability improvement projects.
  • Ensure delivery of reliability maintenance execution is in line with asset strategy.
  • Take action to solve reliability maintenance problems through RCA processes to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Develop mid/long term reliability strategies for equipment used widely in the plant.

About You:

  • A relevant Bachelor of Engineering degree.
  • Experience in strategically delivering predictive and preventative engineering in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • High level of technical competency, project/team management and communication skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge of fluid mechanics, heat exchangers, pumps, motors, valves, digesters and/or heavy industrial process equipment.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Have a working knowledge of good manufacturing practice, health & safety and quality awareness.
