We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team, working on our school data analytics platform, EdPotential. This innovative platform helps New Zealand schools analyze and act on student assessment data to improve learning outcomes.

As a key member of our development team, you will play a critical role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing the EdPotential platform, ensuring it delivers high-quality, secure, and reliable data-driven insights to New Zealand educators.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience with Java development, particularly with the Spring framework, as well as strong proficiency in SQL. Experience working with GWT and AWS is a bonus, but not essential.

You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving code-level issues efficiently, contributing to continuous improvement of development processes and tools, conducting software testing, including both automated and manual tests, and creating high-quality technical documentation for reference and reporting.

In addition, you will work closely with domain experts to deepen your understanding of student educational data and support iterative product development and innovation.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact in the education sector, working with a close-knit team based in Wellington, on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Hybrid working arrangements are available, with flexible working hours to suit your needs.
