About the Job

We're looking for a skilled Monitoring Operator to join our team at Trade Me Limited. This is a critical role that requires strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment. As a Monitoring Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring alarms, incidents, and security alerts, and coordinating with clients, emergency services, and internal teams to resolve issues promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitoring and Response: Monitor alarms, CCTV feeds, and security alerts to identify and respond to incidents in a timely and effective manner
  2. Communication: Communicate professionally with clients, emergency services, and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain accurate records
  3. Coordination: Dispatch and coordinate security personnel efficiently to ensure prompt response to incidents
  4. Documentation: Maintain accurate records and incident reports, including detailed descriptions of incidents and outcomes
  5. Problem-Solving: Problem-solve and make quick decisions under pressure to minimize risk and ensure optimal outcomes

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to multitask and stay focused in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
  • Experience in a control room, security, emergency services, or customer service environment (advantageous but not essential)
  • Tech-savviness with the ability to learn new systems quickly
