We are seeking a highly experienced leader to join our team as a Director of Compliance and Governance. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of compliance and governance principles and practices, and will be able to provide strategic advice and guidance to support the effective management of OIA requests across the organisation.

About the Role

The Director of Compliance and Governance will be responsible for leading a small team of compliance and governance specialists, providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic advice and guidance on OIA matters, including the identification and mitigation of potential risks associated with OIA requests.
  • Lead a small team of compliance and governance specialists, providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the department to develop and implement processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of OIA responses.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a compliance and governance role, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policy.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise advice.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience managing people, teams, or projects, with a proven track record of leadership and collaboration.
