We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Safety and Quality Expert to join our team in New Zealand. As a key member of our Corporate Quality and Risk Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting a culture that prioritizes patient safety and quality care.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have proven experience in influencing and communicating with various clinical and non-clinical teams at all levels. You will be responsible for providing expert advice and support on patient safety, adverse event investigation, risk management, report writing, and facilitating lessons learned.

This is a busy and complex role that requires proactive and flexible individuals who can prioritize their workload and deliver results within tight timeframes. If you are a strong communicator, able to build and maintain relationships, manage multiple tasks, and apply critical thinking, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

">

- Provide expert advice and support on patient safety, adverse event investigation, risk management, report writing, and facilitating lessons learned.

">

- Collaborate with colleagues across divisions to promote a culture that prioritizes patient safety and quality care.

">

- Develop and implement quality assurance activities, such as incident reporting, complaint handling, and corrective actions.

">

- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to improve quality measurement, using quality dashboards and Health and Disability Sector Service Standards processes.

">

- Write reports and facilitate lessons learned to ensure continuous improvement.

Requirements

">

To be successful in this role, you will need:

">

- Proven experience in influencing and communicating with various clinical and non-clinical teams at all levels.

">

- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.

">

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.

">

- Experience working in a healthcare environment, particularly in quality assurance activities, quality measurement, and health service standards.

">

- A clinical background is preferred but not essential.

">

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range between $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience. In addition to a rewarding salary, we provide opportunities for professional development, a dynamic and supportive work environment, and a comprehensive benefits package.
