About The PositionThe Southern Zone of New Zealand Rugby League is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Football Operations Manager. This is a full-time position that will require the successful candidate to oversee the day-to-day football operations of the Southern Zone.
The role involves leading the planning, delivery, and management of all South Island tournaments and competitions, as well as supporting districts and development officers with the delivery of district tournaments and competitions.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Sport Management, Physical Education, or a related field, and have experience in sports event management, or a similar operations role within the sport and recreation industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Tournament Planning and Delivery: Lead the planning, delivery, and management of all South Island tournaments and competitions.
District Support: Support districts and development officers with the delivery of district tournaments and competitions.
Volunteer Engagement: Develop and maintain positive relationships with volunteers and stakeholders.
Event Logistics: Oversee and lead the logistical support to the Southern Zone representative sides.
Skills and Qualifications:
Holds a bachelor's degree in Sport Management, Physical Education, or a related field.
Experience in sports event management, and/or a similar operations role within the sport and recreation industry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Full driver's license and access to a vehicle.
