About the Role

The purpose of this role is to work under the direction/delegation of a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care to patients experiencing mental health and addiction issues. You will be responsible for delivering safe and effective patient care in accordance with standards of practice and Mental Health and Addiction Services policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with clients, family/whanau, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families about mental health and addiction issues.
  • Contribute to the development of individualized care plans that promote recovery and well-being.

Requirements

  • Current practicing certificate as an Enrolled Comprehensive Nurse.
  • Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of mental health and addiction nursing theory, practice, legal boundaries, and ethical concerns.
