Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Advisor to join our Property and Facilities team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our national property portfolio, including contract management, minor projects, general repairs, and maintenance oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Manager, Property & Facilities, across a range of key tasks, reporting, and deliverables
  • Oversee leases as both head tenant and subtenant, rent reviews, and rights of renewals with the Ministry's landlords or agents
  • Ensure health and safety requirements are adhered to across the portfolio
  • Support the vehicle fleet management function
  • Work closely with other business partners, including finance, focusing on appropriate forecasting and supporting the manager with property costs
  • Coordinate office moves/relocations as required
  • Procure goods and services as required
  • E nsure our physical security systems and processes are implemented and maintained across the motu

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification(s) in Property Services, Asset or Facilities Management, or equal experience commensurate with the requirements of the role
  • A high level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Senior experience in a medium to large organisation with experience managing a property portfolio
  • Highly developed technology skills, with the ability to learn and pick up new systems and processes at pace
  • Basic understanding of government processes, including internal governance and approvals
