Job Description: Team Leader

Reporting to the Charge Nurse and Theatre Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our theatre department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a registered nurse with leadership aspirations to take their career to the next level.

About the Role

As a Team Leader, you'll be responsible for:

  • Co-ordinating the delivery of high-quality patient care and customer services
  • Leading and managing a high-performing team
  • Providing resourcing and procurement of both staff and equipment
  • Participating in operational activities to support financial and business goals

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • NZ Registered Nurse with current Annual Practicing Certificate/APC
  • Excellent perioperative skill and knowledge in orthopaedics
  • Strong coordination and delegation skills - think on your feet
  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills that inspire the trust and confidence in your team
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with peers and superiors and the wider teams
