**Operations Manager Role Overview**
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team committed to excellence and inclusivity. As a Kaiwhakahaere Kohika Rau, you will play a vital role in shaping the overall strategy, work plan, and core operational functions of the wider DSA team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Leading the integration of matauraka Maori across the division.
- Co-ordinating initiatives, policies, and practices that are culturally appropriate, inclusive, and aligned with te ao Maori and tikaka principles.
- Developing and implementing strategies to foster whakawhanaukataka, strengthen the collective voice, and advance the mana and professional development of the Kaiwhakahaere Tari group.
About the Ideal Candidate:
- A highly motivated and experienced people leader who can model our values of Manaakitaka, Pono, Mahirahira, and Whakawhanaukataka.
- An individual with an in-depth understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application in a tertiary education environment, as well as a passion for and commitment to Maori development.
- A skilled practitioner who understands Kaupapa Maori and equity issues affecting kaimahi Maori at work and has experience increasing the use of te reo and tikaka Maori within a workplace.
