As a key member of the DSA Senior Leadership team, you will provide leadership, strategic guidance, and expertise in integrating matauraka Maori across the division.A core focus of this role is supporting the Kaiwhakahaere Tari group - fostering whakawhanaukataka, strengthening their collective voice, and advancing their mana and professional development.You will also play a vital role in shaping the overall strategy, work plan, and core operational functions of the wider DSA team, ensuring that initiatives, policies, and practices are culturally appropriate, inclusive, and aligned with te ao Maori and tikaka principles.
Your leadership will help embed these values into the fabric of our operations, ensuring meaningful and lasting impact.This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team committed to excellence and inclusivity.The ideal candidate will:work well with others to develop their te reo me ona tikaka Maori capabilitiesbe an experienced people leader who models our values of Manaakitaka, Pono, Mahirahira, and Whakawhanaukatakahave an in-depth understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application in a tertiary education environment and have a passion for and commitment to Maori developmentunderstand Kaupapa Maori and equity issues that affect kaimahi Maori at work and co-lead the onboarding/induction and recruitment processes for Kaiwhakahaere Tarihave working knowledge of te reo Maori me ona tikaka, as well as experience increasing the use of te reo and tikaka Maori within our workplacebe experienced in executing projects and change initiatives, with proven experience in relationship management.This is a full-time (37.5 hours), permanent position located in Otepoti, Dunedin.The appointment range for this role is $98,298 to $106,663.
