Role Overview

This part-time 0.5FTE Occupational Therapist position will cover the Haematology service at Auckland City Hospital. The successful candidate will join our dynamic and supportive team of occupational therapists, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with haematological conditions
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care and rehabilitation services
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and carers to promote independence and optimal health outcomes

Requirements

  • Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand
  • At least 2 years of recent experience in a hospital setting as an OT
  • Excellent clinical decision-making skills and evidence-based practice
  • Flexible and proactive approach with experience supporting staff and students
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
