**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Registered Nurse to join our team at Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley District. As a Registered Nurse in our adult forensic inpatient units, you will play a crucial role in providing person-centered care to individuals with mental health needs.

**About Our Team:**

Purehurehu is a male secure facility, and Rangipapa is a male/female secure facility. Both units provide treatment, assessment, and rehabilitation for consumers who require psychiatric assessment prior to a court hearing or those committed to a mental health facility under specific acts.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide nursing care to individuals with mental health needs, utilizing a team nursing approach.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Support the implementation of change within the unit, focusing on quality practice and patient safety.

**Essential Qualifications:**

  • Registration with the NCNZ as an RN.
  • A current practising certificate.
  • Active involvement and progression along the PDRP, with a postgraduate qualification or working towards it, or equivalent learning.
