Intellectual Disability and Mental Health Specialist

Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our multi-disciplinary team Intellectual Disability Secure Forensic service. We are seeking experienced registered nurses who have post-registration education/learning and experience relevant to the speciality area of intellectual disability/learning disability and/or mental health. The successful applicant will work as part of a dynamic team providing holistic care to individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or mental health disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working within a model of care that incorporates Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), nuanced risk assessment, and psychological formulation.
- Applying PBS principles in practice to support individuals with complex needs.
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure comprehensive care.
What You Will Need:
- Registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council.
- A current practising certificate.
- A full NZ driving licence.
