The Role

This full-time position involves working in a laboratory setting, where you will be required to maintain accurate records and reports, work collaboratively as part of a small team, and participate in a roster that includes evening, weekend, and on-call work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting laboratory testing to ensure the safety of blood and blood products
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports
  • Working collaboratively as part of a small team

Requirements:

  • Registration or eligibility for registration as a Medical Laboratory Technician with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand
  • A collaborative spirit capable of enhancing a small, quality-driven team
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and patient care
  • Prior hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, especially in areas of immunohaematology, quality control, and infectious disease testing, will be highly regarded
  • A strong background in working within a regulatory framework
