Job Description

The University of Waikato College - Te Kura Huanui is currently looking to appoint a Programme Manager (Diplomas). This key role will support the Academic Director and management team by taking responsibility for the delivery of diploma-level programmes in the College.

This is a pivotal academic leadership role, with a central focus on fostering a high-quality teaching and learning environment and climate of student success.

Key Responsibilities

Effective leadership of the diploma teaching teamEnsuring high quality delivery through effective staffing and schedulingMaintaining a climate of student success and progressionMonitoring and reporting on student and programme outcomesDeveloping and maintaining relationships with key stakeholdersEnsuring academic quality assurance and compliance

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record and significant experience of both academic leadership and teaching, preferably within a tertiary environment.

You will bring to this role, experience in managing teaching teams, including a sound understanding of academic processes and reporting requirements.

With academic credibility, you will be comfortable building and maintaining relationships across the University and Navitas teams.

Your background in programme and curriculum development will enable you to bring a strategic lens to current and future academic developments.
