Job Description:

Provide assurance services to the MBIE IT department and corporate functions for the Corporate team, or provide assurance services for the Immigration NZ business unit for the Immigration team.

Demonstrate your experience with providing cyber security assurance for various technology arenas, including Data Governance, Azure and AWS Cloud Platforms, commercial off the shelf applications, SaaS solutions, IT infrastructure, DevOps, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review documentation for systems, create formal risk assessments, undertake control validation assessments, arrange external testing, and define remediation actions.
  • Complete Certification and Accreditation documents and present them to product and risk owners, along with your findings and recommendations.
  • Identify cyber security remediation and improvements in existing IT systems and inform product owners.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience in identifying, documenting and mitigating risks in one or more of the following technology arenas: Data, Cloud platforms, SaaS products, networks, traditional IT Infrastructure, bespoke applications, DevOps, etc.
  • An in-depth understanding of cyber security standards and frameworks e.g., NZISM, NIST, CIS, ISO27001, ISO19011.
  • Proven ability to remain up to date in technical changes and opportunities within the cyber security domain.
  • Cyber security relevant certification e.g., CISA, CISM, CISSP, etc.
  • Already be in NZ with a legal right to live and work here.
  • Meet the requirement to obtain and retain 'SECRET' clearance.
  • Complete a credit check to the satisfaction of MBIE in this recruitment process.
